Robert J. Wilson
"Radio Golf Show Host On ESPN 1300"

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Rob received his degree in Advertising, Illustration and Cartooning from the Professional Institute of Art.  He brings to the table over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and producer of radio and television commercials.  Rob is also a seasoned radio and TV veteran and has created a number of highly successful Maryland golf programs including: "Double Bogey Blues" on ESPN Radio, Maryland Golf Media which was established in 2000, and the Maryland Golf Expo among many other tournaments and events. All of this experience comes down to one thing, Rob's passion to create.  It's the reason why he went into the arts to begin with.  That's where the painting murals come in.  There's no satisfaction like seeing a child’s face light up upon seeing their favorite characters painted on the wall.  It's the first thing they see in the morning and the last thing they see at night before going to bed.  It's like a comforting blanket.  The beauty of it is that, they get to choose their favorite characters and they can be painted in any environment... under water, in trees, in a house, a forest.  If they can dream it Rob can paint it.  All of the work is guaranteed!  Like he always says, "If you can dream it up...I can Paint it".  Rob lives in Baltimore County with his wife and two boys.  I do like many things but golf is my passion.  I love playing, watching and talking about golf.  Ever since playing golf as kid I always practiced hard on my game and that has paid off as I play to a scratch handicap. In 1999 Rob went back to school to get his broadcasting degree from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland in On-Air TV and Radio Sports. Since 2000 Rob has owned and hosted The Double Bogey Blues Radio Golf Show on ESPN 1300 in Maryland.  The show talks about all the tours and local golf as well.  It’s always fun talking golf with so many different personalities.  Meeting and interviewing some of the best golfers in the world and broadcasters in the game of golf has been a great experience.  My favorite Interview was Greg Norman at Doral. Golf is such a passionate game and the people associated with golf are mostly passionate people.  They love playing golf and I love talking about them playing golf.  See you out on the Links this season.  Keep it in the short grass.
